Learning outcomes

There is a wide range of business risks for which the business can be insured. This course introduces the various insurance products available to businesses of all industries and sizes.
Upon successful completion of this course, the students should:
• Understand the risks against which business can be insured
• Analyse the financial implications of the risks faced by businesses
• Identify the insurance products available for businesses
• Comprehend the terms and provisions contained in insurance policies
• Be aware of the liabilities that the undertaking incurs vis-à-vis customers, third parties and shareholders
