Welcome to the website of Business Administration Department of the University of Western Macedonia (UoWM). Our department was founded in 2019 in accordance with Law 4610/07.05.2019, (Government Gazette No. 4610/07.05.2019) and is one of the seven Departments of the School of Economic Sciences.
We vision the establishment of our department in a prominent position in the Academia catering for business and organisation executives that will make the difference.
Fostering and promoting the science of business organisation and management is our priority, for our graduates to excel in the private and public sectors.
To achieve our vision, an interdisciplinary curriculum is offered in accordance with contemporary scientific and social developments. More specifically, specialist direction courses are offered in three directions: Business Administration, Management Information Systems, and Tourism Business Administration.
Our students can attend one academic semester or year in a university abroad in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. Also, they can carry out their work placement/ internship during their studies.
Our Department runs a Master’s Degree Programme: “Master in Business Administration – MBA in Management Information Systems” aiming at enabling understanding the development, use and exploitation of modern IT technologies in businesses and organisation contexts. Additionally, we participate in the following Postgraduate Programmes: “Green Leadership, Organisational Culture and Sustainable Innovative Entrepreneurship” and ” Petroleum Oil and Gas Management and Transportation – MSc MOGMAT”. Finally, doctoral, and postdoctoral research is also carried out.
