Students are entitled to a special ID card (pass), which is valid for the entire duration of studies (each year from September 1 – August 31).
Since the academic year 2011-2012, eligibility criteria have been specified by the competent Online Service of the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs (https://academicid.minedu.gov.gr/).
The special student ID card offers students the following discounts (Act 99/22-08-90):
- 25% on public city transport
- 25% on public long-distance transport
- 25% on group travels (minimum 15 people) on domestic flights with Olympic Airlines
- 50% on railway services
In case of card loss, contact the Department Administration Office, providing proof with a relevant statement of loss/theft and requesting a new card. On approval, students follow the typical process for a new ID card.
Student ID Cards are returned to the Department Administration Office before graduation.
