Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are expected to be able to:
• know what is, and the possibilities of cloud computing
• Know how a cloud is implemented, its mechanisms and its services
• know what a company could gain from the use of such services, how much does a cloud service costs and how the quality of service provided is measured
• know the major cloud service providers

The course content includes:
• Basic cloud elements, Understanding the Cloud (what Cloud Computing is exactly), Fundamental Principles, Fundamental Models, Technology Enabling Cloud (hardware and infrastructure), Fundamental Security Elements
• Cloud Mechanisms, Mechanisms for Infrastructure, Specialized Cloud Mechanisms, Cloud Management Mechanisms, Security Mechanisms
• Cloud architecture, Core Architectures, Advanced Architectures, Specialized Architectures
• Issues on delivering Cloud, Indicators of cost calculation, Pricing models, Indicators of Quality Service, Service Level Agreements, companies providing Cloud service, the Future of Cloud Computing
